Daughtry and Carrie Underwood Slip; Elliott Makes Huge Sales Jump

Daughtry and Carrie Underwood both slipped this week on the album sales chart, but Elliott Yamin made a huge sales jump thanks to his appearance on last week's American Idol.

Despite falling almost 30%, Daughtry stays inside the Top 10 at #9, with sales of almost 50K. Underwood, meanwhile, finishes just outside the Top 10 at #11, with about 45K albums sold.

Elliott had his best sales week since his album debuted in March, moving about 26K albums, good enough for the #18 spot on the chart. His single "Wait For You" is flying up the pop chart, where it currently sits in the Top 30.

Linkin Park, Tank, Wilco, and Gretchen Wilson all debuted in the Top 5. Linkin Park was especially impressive, selling more than 625K albums.
