Top 10 Performances: Melinda Doolittle

Well, if she had to choose a Donna Summer song, at least Melinda made a better choice than LaKisha.

And, of course, she was vocally spectacular, as always. She's been so unwaveringly consistent in that area, if she ever hits a bum note it will send jaws dropping all across America.

But, she just didn't wow me tonight. I love her, always will, but slightly less so this evening. I don't know what it was, maybe I'm just taking her unfailing vocals for granted, but I want more from Melinda, because I know she has it to give.

And I'm with Simon on the outfit -- girlfriend, you've got no neck. Go to a 12-step program, do what you gotta do, but accept it. Do not wear high collar tops, it just doesn't work for you.

I am, however, digging the short 'do.
