Truth be told, once Daniele had fallen off, Zach had this in the bag. Dick is just not going to be good in endurance competitions -- how long can he really go without thinking about smoking a cigarette? Talk about a mental handicap!

I think your dislike of Dick has colored your thinking. Dick hung on for 7-1/2 hours. He probably walked/jogged the equivalent of a marathon. If that's not endurance I've clearly misunderstood the word. I think two factors in Zack's favor were the baseball cap that kept the rain off his face and the bunny stopping. Once the required hopping stopped the only remaining factor was strength - and clearly Zack had the edge.
Yeah, and there's the small detail of Zach having worn shoes, socks, and gloves, while Dick went barefoot and barehanded in the the freezing water spray. Dick may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you sure have to admire his strength of character!
