Things Aren't Exactly As They Seem in the Big Brother House

I caught about 20 minutes of Big Brother After Dark last night on Showtime, which was enough time to see the end of an argument with Dick and Daniele, and then Dick storm into another room, lie down on a bed, and cry. Yes, the angry, scary man from Big Brother 8 cried.

This sequence of events got me thinking -- things aren't always exactly as they seem in the Big Brother house.

Let me work through my logic by taking a look at three of the seven remaining houseguests:

-Dick is a belligerent asshole, with the ability to say some of the nastiest things I have ever heard come out of someone's mouth, but he is also a man who desperately wants his daughter to love him.

-Daniele often happily plays into the stereotype of the "dumb blonde" by saying some of the stupidest and most inane things of any of the houseguests, but she is also a manipulative, savvy player who clearly knows what she is doing in the game.

-Eric is the neurotic New Yorker who seems to telegraph every emotion all over his face, but he is also keeping the biggest secret in the house.

Having identified the complexities of these three players, its only fair to note that Amber, Jameka and Zach are pretty much straight-up what they seem: Amber is a crybaby, Jameka is a devoutly religious woman just trying to win herself some money, and Zach is friendlessly treading water until he's deemed no longer useful in the house.

Which leaves Jess -- what's her deal? Is she simply a ditzy cheerleader? Is she under Eric's thumb, or is she the one pulling the strings? Is she genuinely interested in America's player, or is she using him for security? As far as I'm concerned, she's the one to watch out for -- and the won, at this point, most likely to take home the money.

Yep, things aren't always exactly as they seem in the Big Brother house.

I hope you are right. I am routing for Jessica to go all the way.

Jess is gone, so I think the one to be aware of is Danielle. If its down to the final two D and D, her dad will have no choice in the matter to have himself lose cause if he doesn't then he might as well say good bye to his daughter....totally unfair and crappy thing to do...but whatever-both Danielle and Dick need alot of growing up to do..especially dick.. he is 44 and acts like a 20yr old with no ambition.
