Semifinal Performances: Sabrina

First off, Sabrina looks gorgeous tonight. That dress is fierce, her hair looks great, and whoever did her make-up did a bang-up job. Now, I would like Sabrina to be this year's Elliott for me...the lovable underdog with undeniable talent who's not as flashy as his/her competitors. And while her performance of En Vogue's "Don't Let Go" was not bad by any means, it just didn't inspire that passion in me that I hoped it would. I think Simon is actually right on this one...she's an undeniably good singer who needs an injection of personality.

Her song choice, by the way, did her no favors tonight. It's a great song, but originally sung by a group of women, so it sounds a bit odd coming from just one voice. On top of that, she sounded a bit screechy at points.

But seriously, compared to Sanjaya or Phil Stacey or Jared? Gimme a break.

For me, its the battle of the dresses. Which one did I like more--Stephanie or Sabrina? I'm not sure.
