Oscar Nominations Announced -- There Will Be Blood and No Country Lead the Pack

There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men led the way when the Oscar nominations were announced this morning, picking up eight nods each. They, along with Juno, Michael Clayton and Atonement, were nominated for Best Picture.

There were a few surprises: Laura Linney (The Savages) and Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth) snuck into the Best Actress race, knocking out assumed nominees Angelina Jolie and Keira Knightley. It was Blanchett's second nod of the year -- she was also nominated for I'm Not There.

Into the Wild's Emile Hirsch and Atonement's James McAvoy, meanwhile, were also not nominated -- they lost their places to surprises Tommy Lee Jones (In the Valley of Elah) and Viggo Mortenson (Eastern Promises).

Enchanted grabbed three nods in the Best Song category, where it's joined by tunes from Once, Hairspray and August Rush.
