With her debut album still in the Top 30, and her hit single "Before He Cheats" still getting significant airplay, Carrie Underwood has announced that the follow up to Some Hearts will be released on October 23, 2007, according to Billboard magazine.
It's hard to imagine the new CD won't be a huge hit -- Carrie is arguably more popular now than she was two years ago when she won American Idol. Yes, as crazy as it sounds, it's only been about 26 months since she was crowned the winner of Idol, and since then she's sold more than 5 million CD's, released four #1 singles and won a boatload of awards, including Grammy's, ACM's, and American Music Awards.
As an aside -- "Before He Cheats" may be the best karaoke song of all time. Just an FYI for those of you out there looking for a new open-mic standard.
