Download Idina Menzel's "Brave" NOW!!

When you have a great singer singing a great song, magic can happen. Such is the case with Idina Menzel's new single "Brave," which is now available for download on itunes.

Idina, of course, is best known for her Broadway roles as the original Maureen in Rent and the first Elphaba in Wicked, but she's made forays into the world of pop in the past. She seems to be heading in that direction again, with a single on the soundtrack album to the film Beowulf and a new album, I Stand, released at the end of January. The first single from that album is called "Brave," and lemme tell you...it's AMAZING!!

Located somewhere between musical theater and pop, the song gives Idina the chance to do what she does best -- sing her face off! Yes, it sounds a bit like it could be the American Idol coronation song, but the melody is gorgeous and Idina sells it so well, you can't help but fall in love. I downloaded it this morning and have already listened to it four times!

In case you're not convinced, check out this youtube video of Idina singing the song on Whoopi Goldberg's radio show. Then head over to itunes and download the song, or pre-order the album on Amazon by clicking the link below. If you're a fan of great vocalists and great songs, you won't be sorry.
