Hey, have any E-fans heard from Harvard Guy lately? He's such a sweet man.

Anonymous said...

Let's go Elliott Yamin fans. Vote for Elliott in the EPIC POLL !! He is such a SWEETHEART and can SING MASTERCLASS!!

Anonymous said...

Clay Aiken has the best voice of any male that has ever been on AI. No contest!

Anonymous said...

Harvrdguy here....who is this?

Anonymous said...

I have to say that all these gentlemen have such wonderful voices and I do wish all of them enormous success in their careers , but there is only one voice that melts my heart and turns it into a pile of mush & that is CLAY AIKEN!!! He will "ALWAYS & FOREVER" have the 'pipes of perfection'!!

Anonymous said...

Both of these guys are great singers! I hope they both go far in their careers. My vote will have to go to Clay, though, because he stole my heart too!

Anonymous said...

My idol forever is the only blue-eyed soul to grace the stage of AI...Elliott Yamin! His rich dark chocolate voice melts me every time I hear it...Clay is good, nice guy, too. But his voice is more smooth, milk chocolate...and I MUCH prefer dark!

Anonymous said...

CLAY AIKEN ALL THE WAY!!! noone moves my heart and soul like he does. The man is mega talented..

Anonymous said...

CLAY AIKEN! BEST MULTITALENTED MAN OUT THERE!!!

Anonymous said...

I have never posted here before but being a new fan of this gifted young man Elliott Yamin I thought I would lend some support..Elliott has one of the most beautifully rich voices I have heard in such a long time.Being a newcomer to the music world(compared to Clay)Elliott has accomplished so much and will continue to do so! This is just the beginning of what I am sure will be an astounding career. I think it is kind of funny that Clay's fanbase has to mark thier spot in such a ridiculous display of over-voting..I understand the love of your guy but does Elliott intimitate you that much that you have to go overboard this way???

Anonymous said...

They are two very different artist. Elliott is one of a kind! He is the most down to earth man! The way he takes time to meet with his fans is unlike anyone else! His voice is amazing!!! GO ELLIOTT!!!!

Anonymous said...

Elliott is a great guy, and well liked, but it's Clay that set the standard for Idol. I have never heard such a pure, clear voice that needs no studio enhancement to sound good.

Anonymous said...

Well I adore Elliott's voice. But Clay is just phenominal - one in a generation. Gotta vote for Clay.

Anonymous said...

what a shame

Anonymous said...

I just love, love, love Clay Aiken. What a voice.

Anonymous said...

Clay may have "set" the standard...but Elliott "raised" it...the man is phenomenal. Humble, sweet, grateful...the only one Simon has said, "You are quite possibly the best male singer ever seen on American Idol..." "...that was a Masterclass..." Clay is really good, but milktoast compared to Elliott. There IS no comparison...

Anonymous said...

"Milktoast"!?? BWAH
For overall power in vocals, stage presence and delivery it IS Clay Aiken! No other has compared and may not for another decade or more. Just sayin'

Anonymous said...

BOTH young men are each phenomenal in their own distinctive way...they have very different styles, but there is room for more than one opinion - as evidenced by the fierce defense of their fans! I, myself, prefer Elliott's style, but certainly can appreciate Clay's talent and have always enjoyed his music. My vote in this particular contest went to Mr. Yamin...

Clay and his fans. He interacts with fans during concerts, and after his concerts, he walks the line shaking or touching hands with his fans and thanking them for coming. There are "Meet and Greets" which fans apply to win, and Clay meets with and spends time with them before the concerts, talking with them, having pictures taken with them and answering questions. He blogs to his fans on the OFC.
Clay is now doing 8 or 9 shows a week in Spamalot, while recording a CD, yet after every show he changes and within minutes is out the back stage door, signing autographs for the many fans waiting for him.
No wonder his fans are so loyal. They know Clay appreciates them.

Elliott Yamin is a rare talent with a great gift of complex runs and style unlike anyone else. His voice is so distinctive and his tone is unique. When Elliott sings it is an experience of interacting with the song because Elliott puts such soul and warmth into each word. His intricate vocal patterns are rich with emotion and his voice is always fresh no matter how long you listen to his music. This is great because I tire quickly with most voices but Elliott is the voice that makes life sweeter, greater, and sooths the soul. I am smitten with Elliott. His voice gets into the spirit where it takes you to a higher level.

Will Clay be doing more covers?

Anonymous said...

One need ask what that question has to do with this contest....but I venture to answer for them..."Nothing" except they don't have anything else to add to the conversation. Regardless of waht Mr. Aiken records/sings, even the phonebook if he chooses, I will listen! There are few with a highly distinctive vocal interpretation style and Clay is one of those very few.

Anonymous said...

NO Clay will not be doing more covers, that was not his choice it was MANDATED by Clive Davis. Today we are getting new clips and album information via WRAL in Raleigh, his hometown. The producer of his album is Kipper, who has produced numerous Sting albums and won several Grammy's for such.

So Elliot has a distinctive voice? I heard one of his songs one day in Nordstroms, except I thought it was Usher. I can ALWAYS instantly know if I am hearing Clay.

I am happy for the Claymates that they have a singer who they admire and love. I too have a singer I admire and love . He is Elliott Yamin. Elliott is a soul singer and that is the style I love. Clay is a ballad kind of guy with more a traditional kind of style. We all like something different. I mostly listen to Stevie Wonder, Mary J and Aretha so of course my choice is Elliott.
We can respect each others opinions and preferences and hope they all do well. There is room for all of them.

Jeannie said...

OK!! Elliott is good....but...CLAY is PHENOMENAL... That's all folks!

Anonymous said...

I love Elliot! He is second only to Clay. Clay is my number 1 AI person.

both guys are great.

Anonymous said...

perfect that these 2 ended up at the top of the heap. They both seem like nice guys and both have great voices.

Anonymous said...

I definitely think that these two guys are the 2 best vocalists to come out of AI.

At some point it just becomes a matter of style preference. Both have great voices.

To me, Clay stands out like a beacon, and Elliott blends into many other R&B singers. But I completely understand that it might be different for others.

Anonymous said...

I love both Elliott and Clay's voices!

Anonymous said...

Well, I think that Elliott is a very nice guy I like him and I wish him all the luck, I hope he dose well. And I am very happy for those who enjoy his voice. However his voice and style are just not my cup of tea. Now, Clay on the other hand just blows me away. I just Love, Love, Love him. So my vote has to go to Clay on this one.

Anonymous said...

There IS a 1 & ONLY ELLIOTT YAMIN!!! AN AMAZING SINGER WITH AMAZING SOUL!!! NOW, STEP IT UP ELLIOTT FANS!!! SHOW WHO'S "VOCAL MASTERCLASS!!!"
Where's Clay these days, anyways? I haven't heard much of him!!
This is NancyKickASS!!!

Elliott was my choice for the year he was on AI. Bought his cd and enjoy listening to it, BUT, I listen to Clay's cds over and over again, (yes, even the Christmas ones in the middle of July, and his "covers" album ATDW is better than the original songs, imo). I will always enjoy hearing Elliott's smooth voice and he seems like a nice guy, but Clay will always be tops in my books. He is very thoughtful of his fans too, just as others have commented. Clay's new cd that should be out in May is original songs, and judging by a WRAL video, it's gonna be another knockout! Can't wait!

"Where's Clay these days, anyways? I haven't heard much of him!!"

Clay has been all over the place. If you have not heard much of him, then you are not looking.

Clay finished 2 tours last year, is now starring on Broadway in Spamalot (in a comedic role rather than much of a singing role. Much hoopla about this - and getting GREAT reviews.

He is set to release his 4th CD in May. It is being produced by Kipper (Got a Grammy for his work with Sting). Finally, after 5 years of waiting, another CD of original music, including one song that he wrote himself.

Very exciting stuff.

CLAY AIKEN ! He's such a doll and can match wits with anyone....and of course, he has the most unbelievably sexy voice I've ever heard.

Anonymous said...

Elliott is a talent not to be missed. I have been to a number of his concerts and have met him EVERY SINGLE TIME. I think that Elliott is more humble and down to Earth than Clay. Before you click that vote button, think about who is the greater talent. Elliott is the best!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Glad for Clay, just I'm not looking for him. I'm a strickly Elliott fan is why!!! Too busy otherwise.

Anonymous said...

well.... I fell in love with Constantine all over, singing soul music from his tour so, I'm gonna give a vote to E-fans! Plus my husband likes Elliott.
Good luck to everyone, Remember it's only a game!;)

Bring it on home, to me.. yeah, yeah!

Ps..Mudslides for all! Those were the days! Everyone getting along.

I WANT TO THANK ALL THE BO FANS WHO HAVE JOINED WITH US TO BEAT CLAY IN THIS POLL. WE COULDN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU! WE'RE HAPPY TO RECIPROCATE IN THE CARRIE/BO POLL!!

Anonymous said...

"Where's Clay?" you ask. How about working on his new album while conquering Broadway! Previous to that Clay toured twice in 2007 as well as making two entertaining TV appearance. His passion to make a difference also led him to spend Christmas on a UNICEF trip. He also continues to raise awareness for those with disabilies through his foundation's work and as a member of a Presidential commission on education. One busy guy.

Anonymous said...

Elliott is "Simply The Best"! He delivers each and every song straight from his heart. One listen to his voice and people will ask, "WHO IS THAT??" Elliott is and ALWAYS will be a force to be reckoned with!! He makes me damn proud to be his fan!

Anonymous said...

As many have said and it was posted on TV GUIDE. " Everyone LOVES Elliott!" That says it!

Anonymous said...

so according to earlier posts here, it takes the combined fans of Bo, Constantine AND Elliot all together to gather enough votes to top Clay as the best-loved Idol competitor. Interesting.

Do their album sales add up any anywhere near Clay's, combined?

How do their combined concert revenues stack up?

I've seen Bo (at our county fair--not exactly Broadway), and would love to see Elliott live. My sister fell big-time for Connie. But Clay's the only one I plan my vacations around, and the one I've kept up with over time.

To each their own.

I'm so glad Clay's so busy! I certainly hold that in high regards, but I just choose one idol to be a fan of! So from one rabid fan to another, ONLY ELLIOTT NEED WIN here!! There's only room for 1 WINNER and it's for the 1 & ONLY ELLIOTT!!!
~ NKickAss

Anonymous said...

There's no competition in my mind... Clay is the winner here, as proved by his track record in album and tour sales, and multiple other achievements. I don't need a poll to tell me that he can sing the socks off anyone.... especially Elliot what's-his-name.

Cageme said...

I definetly wanted Elliott to win his season of Idol..but I am proud to have supported Clay Aiken throughout his 6 years. He has accomplished so much more than his musical success. He is a mover and a shaker and he still shakes me up.

Anonymous said...

I think they are both great singers but they'd both be disturbed by the pile on. Tsk.

Hey, just vote your conscience; no need to express a downgrade on the other. Express your own view but respect someone else's. Just a thought.

Combining fan groups? Isn't that like voting irregularities? Sheesh. They're both doing well....just enjoy.

Moving on....

Anonymous said...

Well, from what I have read around the boards there seem to be many many Clay fans who have chosen NOT to participate in this poll.
Apparantly thinking it just not important anymore and/or a waste of time and does nothing for anyone's career. But that dishearten's me greatly. I don;t think Clay is too big to be included in these polls anymore and I think it's fun to participate. Sadly though, when you read that other fan groups are banding together to overtake the Clayfans vote it makes it even more ridiculous to try and convince the fanbase to participate. So I guess your strategy worked.....in one way at least. Too bad. I miss the days of pure participation. I suppose these things really don't mean anything anymore :(

Ditto!! They both deserve all the best!!

I voted every week for Elliott and bought his CD. I love his voice and only want the best for him. He deserves it...BUT...my vote has to go to Clay. I love his voice, humor and his Humanitarian efforts. He is the whole package.

Everyone has their own perference in who they like and that's fine. I just would like to see the fans all get along.
