I was most definitely not a fan of Kellie Pickler when she appeared on Season 5 of American Idol. I was underwhelmed by her singing voice, and quickly grew tired of her "ditzy blonde" shtick. But, in the past year or so, as she has toned down the stupid act, shown some real emotion (weeping as she sang "I Wonder," about her estranged mother, in various performances of that song) and begun to gain some credibility as a country musician (including picking up a few award nominations), I've actually become quite fond of her.
Then she has to go and do something like this.
Watch the video above of Kellie appearing on the Fox television show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, and try not to cringe. She tries to play off her absolutely inane comments by pouring on the charm, but, unfortunately, her dense-ness doesn't appear to be an act.
Maybe stick to singing, Kel?

Saw Kellie in concert with Terry Clark this summer - she's improved tremendously since her stint on Idol, and she's very personable on stage, interacting a lot with the audience. She's also very funny, quick-witted, and not afraid to poke fun at herself.
its a good thing she's cute , she would get eaten alive in the real world .at least as a singer she has agents to make sure she gets paid . she gives new meaning to the words dumb blond
She may be a little bit dingy but I think she would be would be cool to meet!!! I think she is a way better singer than most of the ones we hear lately!! She seems so down earth and doesnt let her fame go to her head like some of the rest of her fellow singers!! Way to go Kellie!! Stay true to yourself!!! My daughter looks upto you even if you are a little bit dingy LOL!!!!!!!!!
