Clay Aiken has by far the best pipes of perfection HANDS DOWN!!
His ability to reach the high notes , the deep low notes, and the glory notes is head and shoulders above the rest . Clay knocked "BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER" out of the ball park.
I like Constantine better although I have affection for Clay and the Claymates. I get it. Constantine is just more my type.
I also enjoy Constantine's music much more than Clay's. I could listen to Constantine all day, but would have a hard time listening to Clay all day. It's just personal preference. One is equally as good as the other, it's all in what floats your boat.

Constantine sang really well one night that I can remember, but there is no doubt Clay was and is stupendous every night.
This whole poll is Clay's, and he'd win if other fan groups wouldn't vote against him. It's so obvious.
Without a doubt, there is some good talent, but Clay is truly in a class of his own, any way you judge it.
I like Clay however, I have the same passion for Constantine as the Claymates have for Clay.

The Home page of AI, with the question Who would you like to see have their own tv special is ludicrous. Gee, I wonder which contestant actually has a chance of that happening? And the winner, at least of the poll, will be whoever has fans that want to spend their day voting over and over and over. I see only one former contestant that has any chance at all of having his own special. Again.
If Constantine has so many fans, why don't they go out and buy his album. Somehow I think he would appreciate that more!

Is anyone actually buying the thought that Constantine fans actually like Clay, but choose Constantine? I don't like either one but I'm voting for Clay because of the lame attempt by Constantine fans to prove he's still relavent as an artist. I agree if Constantine had that many fans they would be better off buying his albums and attending his Bingo-calling gigs than voting for him. I wasn't going to vote on this one .. but this poll made me laugh out loud.
Thought Constantine was history. Why is he in a poll. I watch AI and remember him, but he isn't even in the same league as Clay Aiken. Give me a break!!

I don't understand how Constantine is winning the AI poll right now. I'm sure Clay fans are voting their fingers off. It's puzzling.
The fact that Clay has sold multi millions of CD's, and attracted millions of devoted fans, validates his credentials to advance to the final here. It's also a fact that many people who are nothing more than anti Clay voters were spamming the poll for days, and had the numbers ridiculously lopsided in Constantine's favor. It is terribly unfair that they pitted Clay against someone who got booted out of his own season's competition in 9th place. Simon said in his book "Clay Aiken is the best thing that ever happened to American Idol". It was true then, and remains true today. They have never had talent to compare with Clay, and he truly was the winner of season 2. Anyone who wasn't a fan of AI at the time should watch AI REWIND Season 2.
It's on Saturdays and Sundays on WGN or WB channels, and certainly worth watching (the best season of them all). Why not check your local TV listings and see for yourself. Clay was the number one vote getter every week, and somehow managed to lose when his phone lines got "Jammed" on the last night of voting. Even Nigel Lythgoe said he was #1 all along.
Clay got robbed then, and he's still getting robbed in this poll.
He is so talented, and does so much good for those who can't help themselves, it's very sad that he is constantly being dissed by so many who think they have a right to judge him. Look in the mirror folks; you're far from perfect yourselves.

Constantine was 6th Not 9TH place- Clay is ok- I wouldn't go see him, he's been less than a mile from me several times, I didn't go, He can sing- Yes!..But can he excite me?... No! sorry. I want the chills of excitment when I watch someone. That's me~ I'm just speaking the truth of how"I" feel.

I voted for Clay and I voted for Constantine both times my phone went dead for 30 minutes.
So yep, idol is fixed - we all know that! That being said- If they liked Clay so much WHY did they fix it for him to lose???
I know why Constantine was voted off- he broke the unwritten- unspoken contract rule- His band put out a cd.- while he was on Idol.
Big upset there, kind of like he was fired- not booted off.
Constantine is very Popular, so is Clay- both in different ways! So.. Enjoy who you enjoy- don't put to much in what rank they were.

Thank goodness American Idol 2 screened in New Zealand, because it introduced me to Clay. He has one of the best live voices I've ever heard! The only other voices that come close for me are Art Garfunkel and Eva Cassidy. Judging by "Lover All Alone", he is also a talented lyricist.
As for Constantine, I don't know much about him, but I wish him and his fans well.
It's kind of sad when you see fans pitted against fans. I wish the fan wars would end. They are petty and destructive. Better to spend your time enjoying and supporting your favourite singer, whoever that may be, than wallowing in jealousy and hatred. Unfortunately competition seems to bring out the worst in many people.

I disliked Constantine from the beginning, had nothing to do with Clay Aiken. But the days of voting over and over are OVER. Clay Aiken has become a star of sorts, very successful even though they did not award him the Idol Season 2 title. That was a decision on the part of the E19. Stupid on their part.
It did not matter, he became successful anyway.
As for Constantine something about him just turned me off, had nothing to do with Clay, as I have loved other winners and other non winners such as Melinda Doolittle, she too was robbed because of the stupid practice of voting over and over by KIDS. But I wish them all well as this is a dirty and nasty business.

Although I'm not a "connie" fan....I've got to give him his props....he had his OWN CD out with his own songs...his pre-idol band was called "pray for the soul of Betty"...or something like
that....
