Big Brother's Nick Unveils a New Hair-Don't

While he has caused quite a stir this season with comments that have led viewers to wonder about his sexuality, Big Brother contestant Nick Starcevic is sure to create some more buzz with the revelation of his...mohawk??

Yes, the former football player has a new 'do, although it might more accurate be referred to as a "hair don't!"

What are your thoughts on Nick's new, um, look?

Big Brother's Jen is Evil!

Playing with a full deck of cards is not a prerequisite for being a popular or successful Big Brother player, and even being a bit spoiled isn't usually enough to turn me violently against a houseguest. I mean, Janelle was my favorite player the last two seasons, and she isn't exactly Mother Theresa!

But Jen -- oooooooh Jen -- is just hate-worthy. Not only is she the most self-centered individual to ever play the game, she has absolutely no strategy, other than to make decisions based solely on her own misguided feelings. Case in point -- walking into the room where Daniele and Nick were hanging out, having a moment of awkwardness, and then concluding that Nick should be the one to go up on the block (because he is not paying her enough attention). She is so transparent it's almost painful to watch her.

And that red unitard? Arghhhhhhhhhh!

Now, of course once Daniele won the veto and took herself off the block Jen ended up going with the group consensus and putting Joe up in her place, so I will make the concession that she had at least one moment of clarity. And, truth be told, Joe was the best person for her to put up, since he clearly isn't too fond of her (he's the one who told Nick that Jen claimed he had tried to kiss her), and the fact that he has no concrete alliance means he will likely be easy to get rid of.

Which is not to say that I am happy that Joe is up. While he is loud and obnoxious, and, like Jen, seems motivated by personal feelings more than strategy (as illustrated by his attempt to get Dustin nominated), I also find him pretty humorous, and there is no doubt that if he sticks around he will continue to stir things up in an interesting way. In fact, if I was voting, I'd keep Joe instead of Evil Dick, even though the Dick/Daniele dynamic (how's that for alliteration?) is one of the season's most interesting storylines.

In fact, Daniele seems to be at the heart of most of the season's most buzzworthy moments. Not only has the uber-thin blonde battled her estranged father and won two straight veto competitions, she's also involved in a flirtation with Nick that will certainly have repercussions down the road (if for no one else than for her poor boyfriend at home). I also give her a lot of credit for calling out Jen after she made Amber cry -- there's nothing like a good ol' fashioned catfight to make the Big Brother house interesting.

And as for Amber's tears -- girl, pull yourself together! You're a mess!

So, I'm thinking Joe will get the boot this week, and I'll be sorry to see him go. Who do you think will be the second houseguest sent packing?

Big Brother's Nick Reveals He Has a Top 5 List of Guys To Sleep With

What is Nick's deal? I'm just fascinated by this guy!

He flirts with Daniele. He flirts with Amber. He flirts with Carol. He flirts with Joe. He flirts with Dustin.

Anyone else noticing a pattern here? The guy's a bit of a flirt.

But it's not like we haven't seen flirts in the Big Brother house before. What makes Nick different than, say, Jase or Drew from seasons past, is that he is such an equal opportunity flirt -- both women and gay men get the "special" treatment from Nick. But, really, if that was all it was, there wouldn't be much to say.

No, what makes this so interesting is that, within five short days, he has provided so much fodder for speculation as to his sexuality. I mean, there is harmless flirting, and there is the way that Nick is behaving. He was dry humped by Joe, massaged by Dustin, denied kissing Jen...and now this.

Yes, the story continues with Nick revealing to Zach and Evil Dick that he has a list of the Top 5 guys that he would like to sleep with, and that Blade 2 actor Ryan Reynolds appears on that list. Zach and Dick then proceed to tease Nick mercilessly, at which point he backs down a little, perhaps realizing that his bisexual strategy isn't working on these two very heterosexual fellas.

Or is it just a strategy? Is Nick just playing the game, or is he really having some sort of sexual identity crisis?

Big Brother: Nick Plays, Amber Prays, and Daniele Wins the Veto

We're less than a week into this season of Big Brother, and I'm already hooked. God, I'm such a sucker for reality tv!

So much to discuss about last night's episode:

-Why, when Kail worked her ass off to get Head of Household this week, was she so content on being as inoffensive as possible in her nominations? If she was really that concerned about having a target on her back, she should've thrown the HOH competition like 80% of the rest of the house. And did she really need to trash everyone's stuff while she was looking for the veto? She's starting to bug me.

-But she's not bugging me nearly as much as Jen, who, let's face it, is completely ridiculous. Those shirts? The things that come out of her mouth? The fact that she straight-up lied about Nick having tried to kiss her? Get this girl out of here -- stat.

-Eric -- nice work on the sob story. I'm impressed.

-Daniele -- nice work on winning the veto. I'm impressed.

-Dustin -- what's up with the very low-cut V-neck shirts? I can't really handle them.

-How about Amber, praying to God to "do the right thing." Really, Amber? You think God is up there watching Big Brother, and that he's already decided what "the right thing" is? Despite the fact that she's a bit of a mess, I kinda love Amber. I always love the trainwreck.

-And then there's Nick, everyone's favorite player...and by "player" I mean "play-uh" more than "player." Catch my drift? I loved the montage of him flirting with every single girl in the house, but I must say I'm confused why CBS chose not to show (a) his hot tub confession of having performed oral sex on a guy (click here if you don't know what I'm talking about), or (b) his extended flirtations with Joe. Yes, there was a shot of Joe and Nick sitting at the veto competition with their legs and arms around one another, and yes, they showed Nick saying "or a boy -- question mark?" when Carol asked which girl he would end up with, but come on CBS! The blogosphere has been buzzing about this all week -- throw us a bone and acknowledge that we know what is happening!

My gut is telling me Carol (who keeps talking about fighting, but hasn't actually done any of it yet) will get the boot tomorrow night, but I guess we'll have to tune in and see. Can't wait!

What's Up With Big Brother's Nick?

Flirting is a strategy on Big Brother -- always has been, always will be. Guys flirt with girls, girls flirty with guys, and sometimes straight guys flirt with gay guys (to get votes, of course). But what's going on with Nick?

Less than a week into this season, Nick, whose bio describes him as a "single, former football player from Michigan," has made eyes at openly gay contestant Dustin, been caught spooning with Joe (picture above, courtesy of Towleroad), and admitted to "giving a blowjob to a guy" (view the youtube clip of this admission here). I'm all for fluid sexuality, but I have to wonder -- is this just a strategy, or will this story continue to evolve as the season goes on? Thoughts?
