TV Ratings: House Rules, On the Lot Continues To Decline
On the first American Idol-less Tuesday night since January, Fox was still able to claim the top spot, despite the fact that On the Lot roped in only 4 million viewers. The season finale of House was easily the most watched show of the night, capturing nearly 13 million more viewers than it's lead-in. Wow.
Here are the Top 5 rated shows for the evening:
1. House, 16.86 million
2. Boston Legal, 9.84 million
3. NCIS, 9.81 million
4. Law and Order: SVU, 8.42 million
5. The Unit, 6.19 million

TV Ratings: Idol Finale Blows Away the Competition
The American Idol finale blew away the competition last night in the Nielsen ratings, averaging just under 30 million viewers for the 2-hour broadcast -- double it's nearest competitor, Lost. The show peaked with nearly 35 million viewers in it's final half hour.
Here are the Top 5 shows for the last night of the regular television season:
1. American Idol, 29. 47 million
2. Lost, 13.655 million
3. CSI: New York, 10.2 million

TV Ratings: Dancing Nearly Tops Idol on Tuesday May 22
In what was nearly a huge upset, the finale of Dancing with the Stars almost pulled in higher ratings that the final performance show of American Idol last night. The premiere of On the Lot, meanwhile, disappointed with less than 9 million viewers.
Here are the top 5 programs for last night:
1. American Idol, 24.95 million
2. Dancing with the Stars, 22.7 million
3. NCIS, 13.88 million
4. Sea Change, 12.98 million
5. Law and Order: SVU, 10.21 million
