Sex and the City Movie Has Made More Than $5 Million For the Last Three Weekdays

I saw the Sex and the City movie -- liked it, didn't love it. But I'm hard to please -- I've seen every episode of the series multiple times, and went in with impossibly high hopes. I will say, however, that Kristin Davis blew me away. Best Supporting Actress anyone?

Audiences, however, continue to eat the film up! According to BoxOfficeMojo.com, the film has earned more than $5 million every day this week. Yep -- more than $5 million a day on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! That brings the film's total domestic gross to more than $73 million, and it's only been open for one week.

It's Official: The Sex and the City Movie is On!

According to Variety, the Sex and the City movie is officially a GO!

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all set to reprise their roles of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte, respectively. The film, which will be written and directed by Michael Patrick King, is expected to start filming this fall.

Variety reports that Cattrall, who was the lone hold-out a couple of years ago when the film was originally discussed, now has a deal she’s happy with. The trade publication reports that sources say her deal gives her input on her scenes, a fat salary and possibly a future series with HBO.

Can't wait to have the girls back in action again!
