Daughtry Slips To #3 On Album Chart, Underwood Gets Boost From Idol Appearance

After topping the album chart last week, it looks like Daughtry will slip two spots this week, finishing behind new releases from the late Notorious B.I.G. and Arcade Fire. Daughtry moved about 80K albums this week, a decrease of just 11%.

Carrie Underwood got a nice boost from her appearance on Thursday's American Idol results show, increasing sales by 30% to land the #12 position with about 45K albums sold.

The Jennifer Hudson-led Dreamgirls soundtrack, meanwhile, drops about 45% for sales of about 25K, good enough for a #25 finish.
